This Privacy Policy describes how DZ Digital ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use the Elite Downloader desktop application and related services.

1. Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

• Hardware Identifier (HWID) — A one-way MD5 hash of your device's motherboard serial number. This is used solely for license key binding to prevent unauthorized redistribution. We do not store your raw serial number.
• Email Address — Collected only when you purchase a PRO license via Stripe. Used exclusively for license key delivery and critical account notifications.
• License Key & Activation Status — Your license key, activation date, tier (monthly/annual/lifetime), and binding status.
• Payment Information — Processed entirely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or billing address on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To verify and bind your license key to your device
• To deliver your license key via email after purchase
• To detect and prevent license key fraud or unauthorized sharing
• To send critical account notifications (e.g., subscription renewal reminders)

We do not use your data for marketing, advertising, analytics tracking, or any purpose beyond the above.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

• Firebase Realtime Database (Google) — Stores license keys, HWID hashes, and activation metadata. Firebase Privacy Policy

• Resend — Delivers license key emails. Resend Privacy Policy

4. Data Retention

• Active licenses — Data is retained for the duration of your license (up to perpetual for lifetime licenses).
• Expired licenses — HWID and activation data may be retained for up to 12 months after expiration to support reactivation requests, then purged.
• Email addresses — Retained as long as a valid license exists. You may request deletion at any time.

5. Your Rights (PDPA Compliance)

Under the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), you have the right to:

• Access — Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
• Correction — Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
• Deletion — Request deletion of your personal data. Note: this will invalidate any active license bound to your device.
• Withdraw Consent — You may withdraw consent for data processing at any time by contacting us.

6. Data Security

Your HWID is stored as a one-way MD5 hash and cannot be reversed to recover your original hardware serial number. All data transmission between the application and our servers uses HTTPS/TLS encryption. Firebase access is restricted by server-side authentication rules.

7. Children's Privacy

Elite Downloader is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us for immediate deletion.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the application or email. Continued use of the software after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
